Just read Jay Laifman's submission in which he identified his car as
     a 'late' series V. I have a late car also (B395018705), with
non-peaked headlight rings (these cars are also distinguished by
manual adjust brakes, bumper mounted license plate lights -- anything
else?). I understand these trim rings are the same as used on Mk II
Tigers, and I always assumed that the differences in the late Alpines
was because they were 'using up' left over stuff. My car also sports
color code #127 (most color code lists I've seen only go up to 125)
'turquoise blue metallic', which I'm told was a test color for the
fastback Rapiers (sold in the states as the '69 Alpine). Anyone know
     any details? Chris?
