Hey, Bob! Congratulations on your new runner! How about that first gear - a
real stump-puller isn't it? Or, as my owner's manual calls it, "Emergency
low gear".

Paul - according to Graham Robson's book, Cars of the Rootes Group, there
were 46,204 of the Rapier fastbacks produced. They were badged as Alpine GTs
in the US, 1969 being about the only year of import. They were built at
Ryton-on-Dunsmore from 1967-69 and at Linwood from 1969-1976. I suspect most
were sold in the UK. Tiger Tom, do you still have Roto-Rooter?

Terry, that wasn't very kind. Especially on the uphills, the old Talbot can
be overtaken by a kid in a pedal car. Got to get an underdrive unit for that
car.
