Congratulations on your new Alpine, please make a nice picture of it and put it
on the webb page for us to admire !!
Mine has to be ready before 28 of june this year as I promised my
cousin that she could have it as their wedding car.
Oh boy what did I say !!
It still needs a full respray inside and out, new canvas for the softop
The hardtop now fit's after a lot of welding but we still need the left
toggle clamp and it has to be sprayed and built up again as well.
(Sunbeam specialties nor Sunbeam West Midlands have toggle clamps at the moment)
Any ideas out there for a replacement clamp ?
Last weekend I replaced all the engine hoses, and the radiator was
checked for blockage and leaks.
Currently the engine is running but the braking system needs checking
especially the brake pipes and hoses, this will be tackled next weekend.
Welding on the car is now down to some around the doors and some minor
work on the front valance.
The interior needs new carpet and the dashboard has to be built up
properly again.
What colour do the origional steel wheels have ? (my Alpine is moonstone
white)
Is there a seal or a chrome rim around the bootlock, I forgot and can't
find it in my parts boxes, it must be somewhere or am I chasing a phantom ?
