Yes very true Minxes were very reliable cars.
My dad drove one for 10 years a Minx series V I beleive with the 1725 CC
engine.
It never went wrong, and he drove it for 100.000 KM from '66 to '76 hardly
any body work was necessairy, only the paint faded a little because it was
tartan red (rain on the car when the sun was shining).
Then he bought a Mazda 929 coupe '76 as my uncle had chanced dealer ship
from Rootes to Mazda.
What a car: rusty, bad road holding, mechanically inferior, but
luxerous.
Well now we are driving Sunbeams and Hillmans again well ok and a Jag when
we need to pull something!
