true but!
I'll tell you something else, some time ago my father used one of his
Imps and reversed it off our drive to park it in front of the house.
Then I saw that the Imp jumped foreward and came to a halt on the street.
To my surprise then my dad openend the side window, stuck out his
arm holding a guess what... broken off gearstick !!
Ha Ha what laugh, you should have seen my dads face !
Anyway we used a mole grip on the stump to shift the gears.
Apparantly this happens more often with an Imp as there is a sharp
edge on the bottom of it and due to metal fatigue it will allways shear off
on that edge.
Well ok end of life will take about 25 years which isn't bad at all.
So when it is not the gearknob it's the gearstick !
