If TWM is going to have to make these manifolds up, why can't they take
someones working setup and copy that? It seems like it might save us a step
or two later if we can get these things closer to something that will
actually work on our cars. Could they shorten the manifold to avoid the
steering box? Or put enough of a jog in the thing to avoid all of the
currently needed modifications to the master cylinder? Removing the spacer
and grinding the master is no big deal, but if they could get the manifold
back a quarter inch or so I know it would really help.

Are they planning on casting these things, or welding them up? A friend of
mine had a custom steel manifold welded up so he could run a side draft on a
MG, and I know it cost him less than what we are talking about.

As I remember, TWM imported all of their manifolds from Australia, so I can't
imagine that they have the casting for the manifold already made up. Oh
yeah, what about Pierce Manifolds out of Gilroy (408) 842-6667? Are they
open to making these thigs up for us? How many "for sure" people do we have
now?

If I can be of any help in this thing ie. calling around, or whatever, PLEASE
CALL!! I would be more than happy to pursue any channels that you think
might be able to help. Maybe I could talk the Edidor of our (Pacific Tiger
Club) newsletter into running an ad to see if anyone in the club, but not on
line, would be interested in ordering one.

I hope things are going well.

P.S. - Dick, is Gary's weber setup on the mysterious Alpine which is
supposedly "in the paint shop?" I mean does the thing really exist? I can't
wait to see it, I think I'll give him a call. I've been meaning to ask him
about that extra body to see if he's made his mind up on what he wants to do
with it.
