If the calipers are the problem more can be found from a Ford product. The
1974 (and probably other year models) Mercury Capri sports the same
calipers. Brake pads are also the same. Rear wheel cylinders are also the
same and can be interchanged. Rear brake shoes are not (I'm pretty sure?)
interchangeable and the master cylinder is also not interchangable with the
Alpine. I discovered this while repairing the brakes on a Capri I was
driving several years ago.
I believe the pistons in the Alpine are the key as to whether the calipers
are rebuildable are not. If the pistons are pitted then it is unlikely that
the o-ring type seal will keep the brake fluid contained. New pistons and
rebuild kits (the kits contain all seals and rubber components for the
caliper) are available from Victoria British and Sunbeam Specialities. The
kits list for ~ $25 per axle and the pistons are around $20 each (there are
two pistons in each caliper so you'll need four pistons). I hope this info
helps.

everytime you shift gears she puffs smoke.
