I tried posting this message a week or so ago, but I'm not sure it went anywhere as ther was a problem with IBM's mail server. Anyhow if it's being duplicated please accept my apologies.

Please excuse my ignorance on this subject.

While leafing thru some old magazines, I came across an article on the "Sunbeam Lotus". This front engine, rear wheel drive, 2-door sedan was featured in the Winter 1980 issue of "Motor Trend's Sports Car Graphic No. 4". This car apparently not built for U.S. consumption, was suppose to have 1500 units produced prior to Sunbeam being sold to Peugeot. According to the article the project was to be completed to help boost Sunbeam's image. What happened when Peugeot bought Chrysler's European Operation? Did or is Sunbeam still in operation? To date my interests have been with cars produced during the 60's. My wife and I have owned a couple of Series V Alpines and a '66 Imp which served us well for several years.

Any input would be appreciated. Books published on the subject or magazine articles.

Thanks!
