RE: gearbox oil and headlamp rings

As to what type of oil to put in a gearbox, my Series V overdrive
transmission was rebuilt by John Roseby in England. He rebuilds Alpine
overdrives for a hobby and works for Ford UK in their transmission design
department (or so I am told). He told me that he suggests 20/50 motor oil.
