Hi all,

Some comments on Derek Jewetts:
>when I push the clutch in while the car is stationary =
>(specialy in the morning) the engine idle goes down quite alot, more so =
>than I have yet to see in any manual shift car. Is this normal?? =
If this problem remains after your clutch rebuilt its probably
due to a weak carburettor mixture, this could also explain for the
overheating ?
In manuals about carb tuning it sometimes says depress the clutch and
check the change in revs if it goes up the mixture is too rich if it
goes down the mixture is to weak.

Some comments on David Wilkinsons:
>and is it possible to remove the stop switch without losing
>brake fluid?
Yes, just put a new piece of plasic underneath the reservoir cap and screw
it back on.
And if you have or buy a new wheelcilinder sometimes there is a plastic
plug in the pipe connection don't throw that away as now you can use that to
block up the brake switch hole (if it has the same size as the nipples).
Otherwise an old switch or bolt might do the job.

Good luck
