Eric,
The Alpine IV and V have different wiring harness. They are similar but
because the Alpine V has the alternator, much of the charging circuts are
different. Your best bet is to get the original workshop manual for the
Series V, it has the correct diagram in it.
The only open copper wire that I know of is the ground strap, but thats
located from the bellhousing area to the chassis. Perhaps the former owner
did some modifacations?????
