Ijust finished reading Anthony Robinson's solution for swapping a
mechanical tach onto a series V motor. This is the same solution that
Icame up with. I obtained the distributor block with the mechanical drive
from Smitty in San Diego and purchased the necessary driver dog from Moss.
I have several thousand miles on it and it seems to be holding up well. I
did add one other slight modification. I took a bolt and cut off the head.
I then welded this to the interior of the modified driver dog. This then
slides down inside the top of the oil pump shaft to keep the spacer from
wobbling.
