I have an interesting problem. I have a Series IV with the 1600 CID engine with the Stromberg 150CD carbs from the Series V. When I first bought this machine back in 1970, my mechanic used trial and error to get the right needles for this combo. It worked fine until recently. Now I idle great, but when I give about half throttle, I buck and miss. If I pull the choke out (richen the mixture) it is smooth. If I richen the mix at the carbs, it doesn't idle well. Do you think the needles have worn? How can I fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
