I have an interesting problem.  I have a Series IV with the 1600 CID engine with the Stromberg 150CD carbs from the Series V.  When I first bought this machine back in 1970, my mechanic used trial and error to get the right needles for this combo.  It worked fine until recently.  Now I idle great, but when I give about half throttle, I buck and miss.  If I pull the choke out (richen the mixture) it is smooth.  If I richen the mix at the carbs, it doesn't idle well.  Do you think the needles have worn?  How can I fix this?  Any help would be appreciated.
