Does this mean that Alpine rims came in 4 sizes? 4 in, 4.5 in and 5 in. ? I
have not put rims on my car yet and would appreciate any information on this
topic. Thanx. Tom

For your benefit until you get around to getting the Alpine Guide, there
is a section describing tire (aka tyre) size for the Alpine, and how your
standard radial tire now has a smaller diameter than the ones that came
on the cars originally, raising the rpm for any given speed even
further. They have a chart describing the sizes and the different
diameters:
Size Diameter Width (mm)
5.60-13 600 145 - std on Series I & II (Rims 4J and 4.5J)
5.90-13 616 150 - opt on all Series (Rims 4J and 4.5J)
6.00-13 600 156 - std on Series III - V (Rims 4.5J and 5J)
155 R 13 578 157 (reported as too low)
165 R 13 596 167
175 R 13 608 178 (reported as too high)
185 R 13 624 188
195/70 R13 608 197
205/70 R13 625 204
175/70 R14 606 176
185/70 R14 624 186
