Does this mean that Alpine rims came in 4 sizes?  4 in, 4.5 in and 5 in. ?  I
have not put rims on my car yet and would appreciate any information on this

For your benefit until you get around to getting the Alpine Guide, there 
is a section describing tire (aka tyre) size for the Alpine, and how your 
standard radial tire now has a smaller diameter than the ones that came 
on the cars originally, raising the rpm for any given speed even 
further.  They have a chart describing the sizes and the different 
diameters:
Size  Diameter  Width (mm)      
5.60-13   600  145   - std on Series I & II  (Rims 4J and 4.5J)
5.90-13   616  150   - opt on all Series     (Rims 4J and 4.5J)
6.00-13   600  156   - std on Series III - V (Rims 4.5J and 5J)
155 R 13  578  157   (reported as too low)
165 R 13  596  167
175 R 13  608  178   (reported as too high)
185 R 13  624  188
195/70 R13  608  197
205/70 R13  625  204
175/70 R14  606  176
