Even without cooler, some of us suffer from delay due to the filter
draining down. A partial fix is to go the smaller filter that a number
of manufacturers seemed to do around 1993-4. I think it was the PH
3614, but you can confirm this by looking for the filter used in SAAB
900 after 1994. (You will note the change from the PH16 used in the
1993 SAAB 900).
