Ole,
Yes, I could have also gone out in the Alpine today as it was sunny
but the temp. was in the 32F range so I would have worn a leather jacket.
You realize that we go swimming here when the temperature hits 50F! ;-)
Actually we are so adapted to the colder climate here, that on New Years Day
at 8:00am there is a Polar Bear Swim in the Halifax harbour when the
temperature is often in the 0 degree F area. There are usually about 100 or
more brave souls that participate. I not sure, but I believe their blood
has more often that not, been diluted with some other product!! ;-)
On the paint note, thanks for pointing the pages out to me after
all these years! I notice their is an I.C.I. number associated with the paint
name and this has to be an I.C.I. (Imperial Chemical Industries, a paint
manufacturer in England) paint code number. Now to find a WWW site for them.
Perhaps they still have records of the composition for the colours. I.C.I.
is also operating in Canada as they purchased the Canadian paint
manufacturer,
C.I.L. (Canadian Industries Limited) a number of years ago. I'll let you know
how I make out. BTW, my cars are in a heated garage beside the house so I
am able
to do all the mechanical work during the winter. I'm only doing some
touch-up in
the engine compartment before it goes off to the body man next summer.
Thanks,
Bob
