Every time I read these stories, I get a sickness in my stomach. We
have no smog laws here in Utah (visual or tail pipe) but I remember
very well dealing with them in California when I lived there. Of
course, back then, the exemption for pre-1966 vehicles was in force.
Am I to understand correctly that the smog II law in California
requires all post 1966 cars to meet 1990 emissions standards ? I
can't imagine living under such grotesque requirements. I can only
imagine that those of you living under it feel even sicker than I do
about it.
