Hello All and happy New Year!

It's great to see what makes up this list of Sunbeam fans. I own Series V Alpine
that I puchased in '92 for $3500 dollars. It had a '72 inspection sticker on the
windshield and a spun bearing. A friend of mine originally bought it to
restore, but after finding a 1592cc motor to put in the car, and re-doing the
brakes, he sold it to me. The car is pretty rust free for a Northeastern car,
but then again, from the clues found on the car, it doesn't seem to have been
driven much. It's got original seats and horribly faded original paint. I sold
the Series IV motor, and used the proceeds to rebuild the 1725 motor. I've been
collecting parts and money to eventually repaint the car, but have been having
way too much fun driving the car as it is.

I'm 29 years old and live in New York City. It's not a place to live for a car
nut, but I get visitation rights to my cars at my parents house in NJ, and at a
garage I rent in CT. I work for "Late Show, with David Letterman" as an audio
technician, but I studied Photography in school. I haven't started a family yet,
as many of you guys out there have, so I've been taking this time, and money to
mess with cars, while I still can! I've also got an old 911, and a '65 Mustang
Fastback.

It's a great list, and I look forward to reading the messages everyday!

Tom

P.S. For those with AOL accounts check out some of my pics on the Late Show
site. Keyword: Dave, and go to the "Backstage" area. Drop me a line on the
message board, I'd love to hear what you think!
