Re: Series V demise and opportunity

I was surprised to find B395003264LRX at a Dallas area salvage yard earlier
today. The fact that it had relatively minor dents and rust made me even
sadder to see it sitting there topless and jacked up on old wheel rims (to add
insult to injury, it had been labeled a '65 MG). One of the regulars said it
had been there for several months6 It had very fresh hoses and clamps, so I
suspect it was running shortly before being relegated to this fate. Mileage
was 69K, which the general wear seems to support. It appears it would be a
roller with a set of (lug) wheels and tires back on it. However, there's no
interior, top frame, grill, tanks or badges left after its months in the yard.

I'll be making one more trip out there tomorrow and would be glad to check on
availability and prices of specific parts if there is any interest.

Regards, Bob Douglas
