I had problems with my winding mechanism on the series V. I think the
mechanism is the same as the Tiger...not sure though.
anyway the winding scissors mechanism "bowed" out when cranking and kept
the window from moving up and down correctly. I pulled it out and looked at
it to see if it was bent. I compared it to the one on the other door that
worked fine and didn't see much difference. I hammered it under heat to try
and make sure it was straight but nothing seemed to help so I found a
replacement from someone on the list and bought it. When I got it, it
looked exactly the same, but it worked correctly. I still don't know what
was wrong, and I really spent a lot of time assembling/disassembling. I was
really grateful to find the replacement part and that it worked correctly.
