I assume that you are simply trying to get a standard Alpine going. In
that case, I would forget all the non standard stuff for the moment and
try to wire the ign as close to original. Many coils do not use ballast
resistors, and with the cut wire, this could be the case with yours.
Even a ballasted coil, without the extra volts at start (wire from
soleniod) will work. Forget about the box of smoke waiting to happen,
at least for now.
