I am putting the finishing touches on installing my overdrive. I got
everything I was supposed to for a Series V, including the switch and
relay. I am only missing the plug into the column hole that holds the
switch. I am thinking about drilling a hole through my non-overdrive
plug and possibly gluing on a sheet-metal plate on the back to give it
extra strength and leverage against the torque from the switch lever.
Does anyone know what the stock one looks like and is made of?
Also, I got a dash light that is grey. I was told two things: (1) the
Series V did not have a dash light and (2) the light for the Series V was
blue-green. I believe now that there was no light on the Series V -
because of the self cancelling switch. What are the colors of the lights
from the earlier years?
