Colo(u)r schemes

Since lack of space and heat in the garage and time in my life keep
delaying the start of my Series V restoration, I compensate by planning.
Not really effective planning, but wotthehell.

My Series V was black, apparently (the seats have been replaced) with
black upholstery.

I'm content to paint it black if I can get the bodywork straight enough. I
think that may look very classy with silver wire wheels (and maybe narrow
whitewalls--what can I say, Jay Laifman--I like whitewalls).

I am having trouble with the concept of black upholstery, especially with
a black top. Not only does that seem like a lot of black, I envision
years of scorched legs from sun-kissed black vinyl.

So, to the question. In the Series V Alpine, what colo(u)r upholstery
was available from the factory for a black car. Only black, or were there
other options? If it matters, mine is a very early Series V, #395000284.
