I agree - red can be downright tacky and hidious, but I also take
exception. My car is Oxford Blue (a pure deep blue) which originally came
with black interior - much too dark together. I spent a lot of time and
came up with a really good deep but not bright red interior (with black
carpets and armrest/glove box). If you take a look at a lot of pre-war
racing and sports cars, blue and red was a very popular color scheme.
Also, take a look at some of the Porsche Speedsters and 356's that came
black with red interior. The right red can really look sharp.
