For the record -

My Series 3, purchased new by me at the tail end of 1963,
came from the factory with a black body and red interior with
black piping.

Unfortunately when having the interior restored I forgot that
there was contrasting colored piping and now the interior
is all red.

Nevertheless, it is a beauty and has acquired quite an assortment
of plaques and trophies.
