Just 'surfing' through the myriad messages about black exteriors/interiors etc. -
When I put the 'Black Beauty' back on the road a few years ago - the carpets were shot - except for the 'hump' cover (if you will pardon the expression) which was an original black one. I happened to have re-carpeted an apartment I was managing at the time and had several pieces of a muted grey nylon, short nap, commercial grade carpet left over. When cut and fitted I thought it looked great - with it's black hump in the middle! Perhaps it's a sign of my personality/character - I LIKE black and grey together.
Maybe 'The Mole' who now has the car has ripped out the grey in disgust (he may have ripped out more than the carpet in disgust).
Lots of Luck, guys, but remember BASIC BLACK IS HERE TO STAY.
