I have manged to install this tranny in my 1960 series I (not an easy
task), as it was longer and a different shape than the underside of my car.
Everything works, and it is now a totally different driving car. The last
problem I have with it is the speedo cable. The new tranny sits at a
different angle than the original, leaving the speedo output fitting so
close th the x frame that I can no longer attach the cable. Is there a
right angle fitting that will work? I don't want to do any more cutting,
as it may reduce the structural integrity of the frame.
