Jack Brabham Series II ad

Thanks to T.J. for loading the Series II Jack Brabham ad to the Alpine site. I
found it interesting as the only Rootes photo I've seen of an early Alpine with
driving lights and badge bar. The location is:

Anybody have any background on Brabham or his relationship with Rootes and/or
experience with the Alpine? He was also used in a Rapier ad of the same period
with a "for pleasure, (he) drives a Sunbeam Rapier" reference.
