Oh-oh.  Dipsticks go directly in the block on 1725's.   Check the block ID
number located just in front of the oil filter base.
B900... is Series I  (1494cc)
B910... is Series II (1592cc)
B920... is Series III (    "     )
B940... and
B941....  are Series IV (    "    )
B3950... is Series V  (1725cc)
"Pocketed" spark plug holes were found on all Series cars until late Series
V, but if the engines aren't 1725's, I imagine the heads aren't Series V,
either.
