As you know, I've owned my Alpine V since new. Oil pressure is dependent on
many factors: condition of bearings, oil pressure valve, type of oil, to name
a few.
My Alpine V has the following pressure using 10-40 weight oil: start-up 45-50
lbs when cold. Running at 60 MPH 45 lbs and idle at 800RPM 25 lbs. The
engine is in very good condition with a rebuild about two years ago. In the
summer I use a 20-50 weight oil and the oil pressure seems to be about the
same.
