Hello Rick!
Thanks for your news!
I am owning an MkV Alpine of 1967 which is still under restoration. I
bought this car in 1991 and drove it for 3 years, till I started
restoration in autumn 1994. The car was put apart totally into all its
parts. Engine was rebuilt, also the axles, gear,etc.,etc., you can say,
there is no group of parts which was not restored or renewed. The body was
painted in carnival red after restoration. In the moment the car is again
"on its own wheels", which means body, doors, hood, windscreen, etc. are
assembled together, engine is mounted into the body and the front and rear
axle too. It is stiil a lot of work to do, as you can imagine. For the next
time I have planned to finish all the bodyworks with lights, chromework,
etc., to do the electrical work, a,s.o., then I will do interior work,
carpets, seats, instruments and the carburettor!
I'm sure we'll keep contact!
Best regards, Andreas
