Bill,

I would re-core the radiator for a 3 core setup, remove the fan, and
install
a 14 inch "sucker" fan with electric thermo-switch.

Use a 160 degree thermostat.

Add in a fan override switch that will allow you turn on the fan to keep
the
engine cooler if you so desire.

The engine will sound soooo much smoother without the fan, you will
get a few MPG, more power ECT.

Cost=~$100 total.
