Tom,the Aluminuim is left unpainted as is the pipe to the vacuum chamber
(it ain't copper on mine) The vacuum chamber is painted a matt black on
my Girling 2A Servo (including the base plate) and also on a spare 2A I
have so I assume that's the original colour. Karl
