You can see one sign of a leaking head gasket by holding
the palm of your hand at the end of the exhaust pipe while
the engine is idling.Water drops forming on your hand mean the
gasket is leaking coolant into at least one combustion chamber.

If you have an old ID plate, or a photograph of one or a copy
run on a copying machine, any shop that makes silk screens
(see your yellow pages) can duplicate the printing. You might
have to supply a metal plate of the appropriate size, but
ask the shop first. Many silk screeners will screen on almost any
material and may have metal plates in stock.
