Hi Paul,
the early series had cable driven tacho's. I had to go through a fairly
lengthy process to convert my series II back to cable drive since I had the
tacho but not the hardware for the distributor end of things. The
complications are related to the gear and distributor drive at the top of
the oil pump shaft.
I'm from Melbourne, is the ad you're talking about local to SA or is it a
national ad, and what is it for so that I may look out for it?
