I have just installed a 12" electric blower to the drivers side of the
radiator, I am running the four blade stock fan blade and let the electric
fan run the whole time the engine is running. ( adjustable thermostat
coming soon) Today was the hotest day so far ( 98 and 90something
humidity ) I sat in traffic for almost 25minutes and the gauge got to ~ 95.
This installation was very ez but in retrospect I would use a 10" it will fit
better. (12 " had more CFMs, and i shaved off some extra structure of the
fan) The lower valance of the radiator support hits slightly so I installed
longer bolts in the lower radiator holes and a 3/8" spacer. This unit could
also be mounted to the nose panel, but with a fresh engine bay paint job, so
no welding for me this year, but I would consider rigging tabs it to mount
directly in the nose. This would make getting the radiator in and out a
simple straight pullout.
so far so good, NO MORE MELTING SNEAKERS, the passanger compartment
is much better. Now for the next modification fresh air to those
feet!!!!!!!!
Thanks for everyones help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
