Welding and machining should work, or..............
If you come across a later Alpine fastback tranny, the shift fork is the
same, but a much beefier design. Since many of the fastbacks ended their
lives prematurely to become planters after Chrysler stopped supporting them,
the fork should probably still be in good shape. I've heard somewhere that
the new fork that Sunbeam Specialties sells is the fastback style.
