Ideally none, but it would onlu be speculative to provide a spec.
Personally, I prefer verifiying the range of adjustement that the idle
mixture screw provides.

There are different types of adusters, some adjust the air volume,
while others adjust the fuel volume, but either way, the adjustment
goes to one extreme or the other when too much air bypasses the
idle circuit.

I had my "airl volume control screws" all the way in.
The idle was so poor, I had to use the choke to make
it idle smooth.

Well the two wear together, but the spindle is brass, and the bushes that
have the most load on them are steel, so I would have to say the spindles
go first.

BTW, I am sure that the factory was hosed when they wrote the Alpine
workshop manual. It does not surprise me that you have a non GT car
with WIAs. I have a set of WIA2 carbs that once ran on my car.
The factory doesnt even talk about those.
