Sounds like lean out to me too, which will also make you run hot.

Here is the wierd part though...

Generally, when the shafts are worn, the car will want to run lean
and idle due to air going around the piston venturi.
The clever tuner, would tweek the main jet "the only fuel adjustement
available", to make the richen idle mixture.
This results in the "at speed mixture" being too rich.

You dont seem to have this problem, so.....

1) you have an interesting set of needles in your 150CDs.
2) perhaps you dont have enough oil in your dampers.

Check the color of all your plugs, and see if you can trace the problem
to one of the two carbs.
