sidedraught Weber on a Hunter. These can be modified to fit an Alpine.
The main problem is that the Hunter's engine cants over at an angle, so
if you mount the Hunter manifold on the upright Alpine engine it fouls
with something (bonnet or inner guard - can't remember which). My Alpine
is running one of these, and the cylinder head face of the manifold has
been machined so that it sits at the correct angle.
The other problem is that the Weber sits too close for comfort to the
reinforcing strut. My DPO took the strut off, but I didn't like that, so
I've had a special one made up.
