Yer motor is pretty tired then. Consider a full overhaul.

Those bloody british engineers.
I wish I would have thought of that, I would have pattented it
and be driving a Jag or something like that.

Suspect worn valve seats before the stretching valve scenario.

Wow, here in California "USA", any reading over 700 or so PPM
of HC, brands you as a gross polluter.
