Thanks for the info. I have a series 3, so I only need the short hose.
The bypass hose on my car is perished and quite twisted and creased. The
curved one would prevent this from happening, no doubt.

How about the hoses that run water to the inlet manifold on the series3?
At the front of my inlet manifold I have a length of heater hose which
curves round to the water pump (or that area). At the back of the
manifold I have some big brass fittings screwed into the manifold and
engine with a straight length of rubber hose between them. I guess one
of these is not original, and it's the front hose that is perished so
that is the one I'm concerned with. Is there a 'proper' part for this,
or was it originally just a length of heater hose?
