Early Rear shocker mounts

Could someone please tell me *where* the rear shocks mounted on the body on
early series(1+2). I'm rebuilding the ser 3's rear chassis legs, and there
are some complicated but *unused* mounting points in the leg, adjacent to
rear inner wings. Do I need to rebuild these with the extra internal
strengthening for a ser 3 (+4+5) ???
