20/50 oil is way too thick for a the dampers.

Use a single vis oil.

Better to use the correct SU damper oil, but sewing machine oil works,
as does just about any light weight oil.

If the oil is too thick, the engine will run too rich during the
acceleration
period of the motor.

Too thin, or no oil, the motor runs lean, and pops on acceleration.
