That kind of load for any amount of time will burn those precious
exhaust valves too.
The stock Alpine cams are pretty decent performance wise
compared to many contemporary engines.
We'd all love to see an Alpine cruise down the freeway at 75 MPH
with the motor running at 3000 RPM.
The camming required for that to happen would give you
a great low end torque, but unfortunately the top end is lost,
and the motor will run out of poop at or around 4000 RPM.
What you have left is a 60BHP alpine, that would probably
make a great tow car.
The percieved 100+ MPH gearing is made impossible by
the fact that the motor hasnt the gonads to pull at anywhere
near that speed.
