Dick - I guess I can understand what you are saying in theory but having
toured extensively with a 3.89 without O/D and now with O/D, there is
absolutely no comparison. The car will cruise all day down the I5 at
3000-3500 rpm with very little throttle. It is also very responsive at
low RPM in O/D. Granted, I would not want to race it. but it is a great
touring combination. I would not want to go back to no O/D IMHO -
