Sergio and others: Perhaps what you're referring to is such national
clubs as the Antique Auto Club of America, Milestone Car Society,
Horseless Carriage Club? These clubs recognize "Classic" Cars as being
of the classic period, typically late 20's through 1939, with some
special exceptions into 1946. When a car turns 25 it's considered a
"special interest" vehicle. None of this really means squat unless
you're into the hobby for investment purposes, in which case have your
car certified as a Milestone car or official classic could mean extra
$$$$. Besides, the word classic is TOTALLY over-used in today's
advertising, so don't worry about, just enjoy your car - all Alpines are
classics to me!
