Hello all,
Been enjoying all the activity, but MAN is it alot to read!
I managed to gently pry off my fogged, and crudded rear view mirror off and
replaced it with a new one cut from a local glass shop. Hopefully I won't
have to touch it for another 30 years!
My main question is about my Transmission. It's leaking oil at a pretty
good rate when parked in the garage. I've been topping it off, but am
getting tired of smelling the pool of oil on my floor. My questions are:
1. Is it simply a gasket set that needs to be installed? If yes, is it
available.
2. Is there a design flaw that causes the tranny to leak? (like the timming
chain cover)
3. Can I trust an ordinary transmission shop to fix it, or are there
special tools involved.
4. If I need a special place, anybody have a place in the NYC area,
preferably NJ?
TIA
Tom
