I associate the smell of cold British Iron, namely the famous Alpine gas
fumes in the passenger compartment after the car has set in a garage or
covered all night. My Alpine has the smell of gas fumes, brake fluid soaked
firewall pads /carpeting and that old, partly musty smell. The smell of the
car eminates into the garage too. I thought it was just my car but everytime
I visit Wally Swift in Maryland his cars and garage have the same sweet,
special smell......You just gotta' Love'em !!!!!!
