Ron, Jerome, and anyone else who is into 'rocker covers' - I looked back
at the 'rocker cover' thread from last year - I won't even try to
reconstruct that - but - this much I can state with certainty:

I have before my very eyes - a rocker cover which has:

"SUNBEAM" - in raised letters within a raised rectangle on the front
end.

a chrome plated cap with the inscription "USE SHELL OIL ONLY" which
sits on the 'standpipe' (for want of a better description) where oil is
inserted. [this is about 2-3 inches aft of the "SUNBEAM"]

at the rear - a raised 'area' (someone called it a 'diamond' but it's
more of an 'oval') with the letter "S" cut into it - it's not
'stylized" - it's just a plain rather square "S"

towards the rear - on the left - it has two studs on the vertical face
- apparently to 'mount' something ?

I can only assume that the 'cast' parts referred to above are original -
as to the chrome cap I have no idea -

I recall seeing (don't remember where or when) a valve cover with the
background of the letters painted in red - and the raised letters in
'plain' aluminum.

'pineless in Victoria
Barrie

P.S. I also have two other valve covers but they are in dubious storage
at my former residence - maybe never to be seen again.
